I am a Master's student in Earth System Science at the University of Zurich and am completing my Master's thesis at Agroscope.
In my thesis I am investigating a satellite-based approach to measure the impact of droughts on grass land growth in Switzerland. The goal is to develop a predictive model that utilizes Leaf Area Index (LAI) to estimate biomass. This model will then be employed to determine growth rate as a function of temperature, allowing for an examination of the impact of drought on growth by comparing the growth rates with a drought index.
