We use Earth Observation (EO) technology from the local to the continental scale, with a focus on drones for ecophysiological experiments and satellites for continental scale monitoring.
At Agroscope, we host the Swiss Platform for Agro-Ecophysiological Research and Earth Observations (SPAREO). SPAREO contains two components: the Agricultural Landscape Intelligence system (ALIS) and the Drone-based Ecophysiological Research Infrastructure and Satellite Emulator (DERIS) along with several field experiments that address important challenges for sustainable and resilient agricultural land management.
