My research work regards the development of geostatistical and remote sensing strategies for hydroclimatological and earth-surface processes, with a particular focus on rainfall and vegetation distribution. I specialized in stochastic hydroclimatology at the Center of Hydrogeology in Neuchâtel, developing a new methodological path for the stochastic simulation of climate variables based on data-pattern analysis. As a researcher and teacher, I have collaborated with governmental and research institutions in Switzerland and abroad. I am currently part of the Earth Observation of Agroecosystems Team at Agroscope, where I am investigating the microvariability of alpine-pasture vegetation by means of remote sensing and ground data.
